This implies you will not be able to pair or connect your AirPod or wireless earphone / headset. It is like watching YouTube videos without sound. Try one of the following solutions If your iPhone’s Bluetooth is not working.

Upgrade to the Latest IOS Version

Bluetooth not working is primarily a software issue rather than a hardware problem. The issue is primarily related to iOS 11. All you must do to fix the problem is update your iOS to the most recent version. The iOS Updates are bug-fixes from the Apple team. 

Follow These Procedures to Update your iPhone Wirelessly

  1. Connect your iPhone to a power supply.
  2. Use Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet.
  3. Select -> Settings -> General -> Software Update from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select Download and Install from the drop-down menu.

Follow the instructions to delete apps Temporarily to make Room for  the upgrade

  1. Press the Continue button.
  2. These apps will be reinstalled by iOS later.
  3. Tap Install to begin the update process right now.
  4. You can also choose to Install Now or Remind Me Later.
  5. It’s possible that your iPhone will prompt you to enter your Passcode.                                                                                                            

Restart the iPhone

Try the Following Steps if the Bluetooth Problem Persists after Updating iOS

  1. Go to Settings -> Bluetooth -> Disable Bluetooth. OFF is toggled. Bluetooth
  2. Turn on your iPhone.
  3. Check for Bluetooth connectivity by turning it on.

Connect to a Bluetooth Device

If your iPhone Bluetooth issue persists and you are unable to link with a certain Bluetooth device, try the following steps:

  1. Ignore the device that isn’t connected.
  2. Make a Bluetooth connection with another device. If you can link another device successfully, you can forget about the one that won’t pair.
  3. Go to Settings -> Bluetooth -> Disable Bluetooth.

  1. Go to Settings -> General 2. Select “Reset Network Settings” from the “Reset” menu.
  2. Reconfirm your passcode by entering it again.
  3. Try to connect with your Bluetooth device.

Reset Your iPhone Softly

If the Bluetooth Connectivity Problem persists, you may need to do a Soft Reset on your iPhone.

Restarting a laptop or desktop computer is very similar to a soft reset. It is one of the most important and effective ways to troubleshoot an iPhone. Do not worry, a soft reset won’t wipe your iPhone’s data. 

How to Perform a Soft Reset on an iPhone Using the Physical  Home Button

  1. Press and hold the Power (Sleep/Wake) and Home (Simultaneously) buttons for at least 10  seconds.
  2. The Apple logo will appear.
  3. Keep both buttons pressed.
  4. Your iPhone has been soft reset and is ready to use.
  5. Turn on Bluetooth and try to pair with your Bluetooth device, such as a Wireless Bluetooth Headphone or AirPod once your iPhone is turned back on.

How to Soft Reset an iPhone without a physical Home Button

  1. Press and hold the volume up or down button.
  2. Press the Power Button (Sleep / Wake Button) and the Power Button (Sleep / Wake Button) at the same time.
  3. Hold for around 5 seconds until the screen begins to slide and then turn off the phone. OFF with a slide and a stitch.
  4. Turn the iPhone back on by pressing and holding the Power Button (Sleep / Wake Button) for a  few seconds.
